Description: Office : Supporting Services Department Ruttonjee & Tang Shiu Kin Hospitals / Hong Kong East Cluster Monthly Salary : HK$17,888 – HK$21,743 per month (See Remarks 3) Key Responsibilities 1. To provide supervisory support for supporting services including domestic, cleansing, waste management, portering, pest control, road control and carpark management service. 2. To liaise with users and service contractors in the day-to-day provision of services. 3. To assist in preparing duty rosters, arranging manpower deployment. 4. To assist in monitoring the performance of in-house cleaners, patient and material portering team and outsourced contractors. 5. To conduct routine inspection on the cleanliness and fire safety of the hospital. 6. To assist Hospital Foremen in managing supporting services of the Hospital. 7. To assist seniors in staff training and supervision. 8. To assist seniors in compilation of statistical reports and management reports. 9. To assist seniors in procurement, issue and control of stores and equipment. 10. To assist in handling emergencies and disasters. 11. Perform any other duties as required by supervisors. Entry Requirements 1. Completed F.5 / S.5 or equivalent with: (i) Passes in 5 subjects including English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination or equivalent; OR (ii) 5 subjects in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education attaining the level specified below: - Level 2 in English Language & Chinese Language; and - Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects / “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects under this category) / Grade E in Other Language subjects; or equivalent; AND with relevant working experience. OR 2. Able to (i) read and write Chinese, (ii) speak fluent Cantonese and (iii) read, write and speak simple English; AND with 3 years relevant working experience. Preferred Attributes / Exposure 1. Candidate with supervisory or working experience or institutional training in pest control, portering, clinical waste, fire and security contingency or health care setting or domestic / cleansing services. 2. Good communication and interpersonal skills. 3. Good command of basic written and spoken English and Chinese. 4. Good PC skills & knowledge in common software such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications. 5. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Remarks For Serving HA Staff 1. Selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed-term appointment for up to 3 years depending on his/her existing employment terms. 2. The offer of salary to serving employees upon changes in appointment will be determined based on the remuneration package/employment terms of the staff concerned and prevailing policies. 3. Staff in the Workman II grade who are on civil service terms will, if selected, be appointed under the Shadow Promotion Scheme. For External Applicants 4. Appointment will be on contract terms for up to 3 years. 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered subject to completion of contract with satisfactory performance. 5. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply.
