Description: Position: Clerk III Rank: Clerk III Department: Medical Records Office Hospital: Tung Wah Hospital Cluster: Hong Kong West Cluster Salary: HK$15,751 – HK$24,518 (HGPS point 2 - 9) per month including Monthly Allowance (See Remarks 3) Key Responsibilities: 1. To provide patient services including patient registration, enquiries and counter services. 2. To process request for medical reports and data access. 3. To handle death documentation and support for mortuary related issues. 4. To compile statistics. 5. To handle and draft correspondence. 6. To maintain proper filing and record system. 7. To operate telephone system as when necessary. 8. To perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors. Entry Requirements: 1. (a) Passes in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination including English Language (Syllabus B), Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent; OR (b) 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education attaining the level specified below: Level 2 in English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; and Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects / “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E in Other Language subjects; or equivalent; 2. Ability to perform typing, word processing and / or Chinese word processing. Preferable Attributes / Exposure: 1. Work experience with good knowledge of the functions and operations in one or more of the following areas: Medical records management. Patient services, including patient registration, enquiries, and counter services. Death documentation. 2. Knowledge of HA IT systems such as MRTS, IPAS, MORIS, PDARTS etc. 3. Hands-on experience in common office automation (e.g. email, internet, intranet etc.) and PC application (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint). 4. Knowledge of Mandarin or other dialects is an advantage. 5. Good communication, responsible, self-motivated and able to work independently.
