Description: Office : Department of Finance, New Territories West Cluster (NTWC) Pay : HK$17,888 – HK$21,743 per month Job : Reporting to the Finance Manager / Assistant Finance Manager , this incumbent will be responsible to support the cluster revenue functions: 1. Perform duties of Cluster Checking Unit for the Post Approval Checking Mechanism, which was put in place at HA to prevent and detect the occurrence of fraud and abuse of medical fee waiving and Samaritan Fund/Community Care Fund 2. Perform counter duties for hospital fees and charges collection at Shroff Office . 3. Handle debt recovery, account receivables and follow up outstanding fees with patients. 4. Handle the processing of waiver and write-off cases . 5. Handle patients’ refund and enquiry . 6 . Perform internal control projects on cash handling or revenue-related matters . 7 . Perform general clerical duties, including filing, data entry and record keeping . 8 P erform any other duties as assigned by supervisors. Requirements : 1. Completed F.5/ S.5 AND diploma in specialized function with (a) or (b) below: (a) Passes in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination including English Language (Syl B) and Chinese Language, or equivalent; (b) 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education attaining the level specified below: l · Level 2 in English Language and Chinese Language; and · Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects/ “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects under this category) / Grade E in Other Language subjects; or equivalent . OR 2. Completed F.5/ S.5 AND relevant Diploma in specialized function with relevant working experience. Preferable Attributes/ Exposure: 1. Proficiency in common computer software (e.g. MS office, including Chinese Word processing). 2. Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. 3. Responsible, self-motivated, committed and able to work independently with good communication and interpersonal skills. Remarks : For Serving HA Staff 1. Serving staff who have completed F.5/ S.5 or equivalent and have 2 years’ clerical experience within HA may also be considered. 2. The selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment for 1-3 year(s) depending on his/her existing employment terms. 3. The offer of salary to serving employees upon changes in appointment will be determined based on the remuneration package/employment terms of the staff concerned and prevailing policies. For External Applicants 4. Selected candidate will be offered contract terms for 1-3 year(s). 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered upon satisfactory completion of contract. 5. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply.
