Description: Office: Capital Planning Department, Strategy & Planning Division, HA Head Office Pay HK$15,751 to HK$24,518 per month (including Monthly Allowance) [HGPS point 2 to 9] (see remarks 5) Job The appointee will assist Senior Managers, Managers, Employer’s Representatives and the Consultant Team in the project management of major capital works projects with clerical support. Major duties are included, but not limited to, the following: 1. Perform general clerical duties including data input, word processing/typing, updating and distribution of circulars, filing and record keeping. 2. Answer telephone enquiries. 3. Provide logistic support for meetings and seminars. 4. Coordinate seniors’ appointment schedules and prepare presentation materials. 5. Perform any other related duties as assigned by supervisor. Requirements 1. (a) Passes in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination including English Language (Syllabus B), Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent. OR (b). 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education attaining the level specified below: (i) Level 2 in English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; and (ii) Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects/ “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E in Other Language subjects; or equivalent. 2. Ability to perform typing, word processing and/or Chinese word processing. Preferred Attributes 1. Relevant clerical experience. 2. Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese. 3. Self-motivated, good communication and interpersonal skills, and with a strong sense of responsibility. 4. Good telephone manner and listening skills. 5. Knowledge of common office automation and PC applications such as MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, etc. Remarks 1. May be required to work in another work location to meet service needs of the HA. 2. Selected candidates will be subject to posting to various clusters in HA and/or HA Head Office and/or project sites, in shifts and/or irregular hours, as services/operations required. For Serving HA staff 3. Serving staff who have completed F.5/S.5 or equivalent and have 2 years’ clerical experience within HA may also be considered. 4. Selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment for 2-3 years depending on his/her existing employment terms. Serving contract employee will be offered contract employment with an up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance. Serving permanent employee will be offered a fixed term appointment with a reversion clause according to the prevailing policies. 5. The offer of salary and allowance (Cash Allowance, Fixed-flexi Allowance or Monthly Allowance) for serving employees upon changes in appointment will be made in accordance with prevailing policies.
