Entry Requirements:

(i) successfully completed a One-year Full-time Basic Craft Course in Plumbing and Pipe-fitting / Certificate in Construction (Plumbing) Course offered by the Construction Industry Council (CIC) / Hong Kong Institute of Construction; and

(a) currently studying the Craft Certificate in Plumbing and Pipefitting Course / Certificate in Plumbing and Pipefitting Course offered by the Vocational Training Council (VTC) and have successfully completed at least the year-one study; or
(b) have successfully completed the Craft Certificate in Plumbing and Pipefitting Course offered by the Vocational Training Council (VTC); and

(ii) attained a level of proficiency in Chinese and English Languages equivalent to Secondary 3 standard.

Duties:

(1) Undergo on-the-job technical training and perform duties under the supervision of the senior officers; and (2) Successful candidates may be required to: (a) be posted to all Branches of the Department for practical training; (b) work in remote areas; © be engaged in physically demanding work; (d) work with computer; (e) wear uniform/protective clothing; and (f) perform any other related duties as required.

Terms of Appointment:

Successful candidates will be appointed on contract terms and receive training for a period of 2 years

(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.
