Description: Rank: Executive Officer II Office: Patient Relations and Engagement Department, Quality Safety Division, HA Head Office Pay HK$ 34,260 to HK$ 60,421 per month ( including Monthly Allowance) [ H G PS point 15 to 27] (see remarks 4 ) Job 1. Handle public complaints against the services of HA hospitals (including investigation, collection/compilation of information/records and drafting of replies). 2. Liaise with hospital patient relations offices on management of complaint cases. 3. Provide support to HA complaint hotline. 4. Supervise a team of clerical staff to perform office administrative work in various areas such as departmental budget management, procurement and office general administration. 5. Provide executive and secretarial support to committees, trainings and projects on patient relations and engagement. 6. Perform any other related duties as assigned by supervisors. Requirements 1. A university degree or equivalent. 2. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Preferred Attributes/Exposure 1. Experience in complaint management and related fields. 2. Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills. 3. Be able to work under pressure and meet tight work schedule independently. 4. Competence in problem solving, decision making and quality management. Remarks 1. May be required to work in another work location to meet service needs of the HA. 2. For Serving HA Staff 3. Selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment for 3 years depending on his/her existing employment terms. Serving contract employee will be offered contract employment with an up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance. Serving permanent employee will be offered a fixed term appointment with a reversion clause according to the prevailing policies. 4. The offer of salary and allowance (Cash Allowance, Fixed-flexi Allowance or Monthly Allowance) for serving employees upon changes in appointment will be made in accordance with prevailing policies. For External Applicants 5. Appointment will be on contract terms for a period of 3 years. Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance. 6. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply.
