Description: Office : Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital / Hong Kong East Cluster Pay : HK$25,972 to HK$39,671 (HGPS Point 10 to 18) per month including Monthly Allowance (see Remarks item 2) Key Responsibilities 1. Assist Hospital Administrators in daily operation, staff supervision, contractor management of the following Business Support Services in Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital: (a) Property Management ; (b) Fire Safety & Security ; © Disaster & Emergency ; (d) Domestic Cleansing & Portering ; 2. Oversee daily operation of the Foreman Office, handle incident and emergencies as required. 3. Supervise frontline workers . 4. Handle staff issues including: (a) Duty rosters planning and maintenance of staff records ; (b) Staff discipline and performance monitoring ; © Staff training. 5. Assist in conducting quality inspection and service review program. 6. Carry out any other duties as assigned by supervisors. Entry Requirements 1. (a) (i) 5 subjects, including English Language (Syllabus B), at Grade E or above in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent. OR (ii) 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education attaining the level specified below: - Level 2 or above in English Language; and - Level 2 or above in New Senior Secondary subjects/ “Attained” or above in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects under this category) / Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; or equivalent. AND (iii) At least 2 years’ experience in managing a hostel, hotel, or similar institution and in simple storekeeping; OR (b) A Hong Kong Polytechnic Diploma in Catering Studies or equivalent. 2. Ability to speak fluent Cantonese. Preferred Attributes 1. Holder of a degree from a recognized university. 2. 2 years’ working experience at supervisory level, with relevant experience on managing facilities management, customer service, housekeeping or transportation. 3. Able to handle incidents and emergencies independently. 4. Good leadership and problem solving skills, flexibility in resources management and good communication skills . 5. Mature, pleasant, self-motivated and responsible . 6. Good command of English and Chinese. 7. Knowledge of Office PC. Remarks For Serving HA Staff 1. The selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed-term appointment for up to 3 years depending on his/her existing employment terms. (a) Serving Contract employee will be offered contract employment with an up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as contract-end gratuity subject to completion of contract with satisfactory performance. (b) Serving Permanent employee will be offered a fixed term appointment after which the employee may be reverted back to his/her former substantive rank. 2. The offer of salary and allowance (Cash allowance, Fixed-flexi allowance or Monthly allowance) for serving employees upon changes in appointment will be determined based on the remuneration package/employment terms of the staff concerned and prevailing policies. For External Applicants 3. The selected candidate will be offered contract term appointment for up to 3 years. Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as contract-end gratuity subject to completion of contract with satisfactory performance. 4. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply. If selected, the terms and conditions of employment will be offered in accordance with prevailing policies of the Retired and Rehire Mechanism of HA. For All Applicants 5. The renewal / extension of appointment will be subject to service needs, availability of funding and job performance. 6. May be required to work in another work location to meet service needs of the HA. 7. Must perform 24-hour shift, on call or emergency duties and work outside normal working hours and during typhoon, rainstorm black warning and adverse weather. 8.
