Description: Position: Patient Care Assistant II Rank: Patient Care Assistant II Department: Department of Surgery Hospital: Hong Kong West Cluster / Queen Mary Hospital Salary: HK$17,888 - HK$22,357 per month (See Remark item 5) Key Responsibilities: 1. Perform health assessment including blood pressure monitoring, blood taking and electrocardiogram (ECG) etc. 2. Assist and prepare patient for investigation, physical examination or procedure during consultation. 3. Handling specimens including blood, urine, stool and etc. 4. Prepare records, results, reports and films and maintain good medical recording filing. 5. Handle patient / public enquiries and forward for professional handling if required. 6. Perform clerical support if required. 7. Keep stock of medical consumables, equipment, form, top-up material and etc. 8. Maintain environment clean and tidy. 9. Perform cleansing, disinfection, maintenance and functional check of equipment. 10. Handle clinical waste and confidential waste. 11. Perform escort or delivery task when assigned. 12. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Entry Requirements: 1. Completed F.5 / S.5 or equivalent; AND 2. Completed the structured departmental training (See Remarks item 5); AND 3. Holder of Corporate Patient Care Assistant (Clinical Assistant) Training Program Certificate in blood-taking or ECG training organized by HAHO (See Remarks item 5); AND 4. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Preferred Attributes: 1. Working experience in health care field preferably HA institutions. 2. Good PC skills & knowledge in common software such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other MS Office applications. 3. Self-motivated, willing to learn and able to work independently.
