Entry Requirements:

Candidate should have (a) an accredited Higher Diploma or an accredited Associate Degree, majoring in Journalism and Communication, Creative Media, from a Hong Kong tertiary institution, or equivalent; (b) Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See Note (1)]; and © Proficiency in Chinese word processing and Chinese input methods, e.g. Chinese (Traditional) – Chagjie or Quick etc.


Candidates who possess relevant skills in subtitling software or system operation, such as Wincaps Quantum, will have an advantage.

[Note: “Grade E” in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in previous HKCEE are accepted administratively as compared to “Level 2” in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.]


Duties:

Responsible for (a) final checking and revising Chinese or English subtitling scripts; (b) operating various subtitling systems; © adjusting timecodes and handling onprint when required.




Terms of Appointment:

Employed on contract terms for not more than 12 months with working time not more than 18 hours per week (excluding lunch hours), depending on job requirement. (Note: Required to work irregular hours and on Sundays and Public Holidays as well as to perform overnight shift duties.)
