Description: Office: Infection Control Team, Kowloon Central Cluster Pay : HK$34,260 - HK$55,133 (HGPS Point 15 – 25) per month (including Monthly Allowance). (see Remarks 1) Job : 1. Undertake general nursing and supervisory duties. 2. Carry out duties on infection control management to ensure effective infection prevention and control practices using systematic approaches: (i) Implement surveillance, interpret data and communicate findings. (ii) Collaborate in the delivery of new or revised Infection Control practices or procedures. (iii) Continuously monitor the effectiveness of infection preventive measures and control strategies. (iv) Facilitate the maintenance of effective infection control practices. (v) Respond promptly and manage systematically in outbreaks. (vi Provide health education to facilitate healthcare providers’ and clients’ understanding and participation in infection prevention and control. (vii) Master specific knowledge, skills and technology in Infection Prevention and Control and adopt evidence-based practice (viii) Upkeep and promote a quality service environment and system to maintain standard of Infection Control Entry Requirements : 1. A Certificate of Registration (Part I) and a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong. 2. Fluent Cantonese. Preferred Attributes / Exposure : 1. Able to communicate in English. 2. Completion of courses in related specialty /services 3. Experience in the relevant specialty / services. 4. Knowledge on simple statistics and analytical skills. Remarks : For Serving HA staff : 1. The offer of salary and allowance (Cash Allowance, Fixed-flexi Allowance or Monthly Allowance) for serving employees upon changes in appointment will be made in accordance with prevailing policies. For External Applicants : 2. Appointment on contract full-time terms will be for an initial period of 6 years. Up to 15% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) may be offered at the end of each 3 year subject to satisfactory performance. 3. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply. If selected, the terms and conditions of employment will be offered in accordance with prevailing policies of the Retired and Rehire Mechanism of HA. For All Applicants : 4.
