Description: Rank : Clerk III Office : Finance Services Division, Hong Kong East Cluster Pay : HK$15,751 to HK$24,518 (HGPS Pt 2 to Pt 9) per month including Monthly Allowance (See Remarks 3) Key Responsibilities : Reporting to the Finance Manager/Assistant Finance Manager, the incumbent will support several aspects of the following areas: 1. Assist in the day-to-day hospital fees and charges collection at Shroff counter, arrangement of refund for patients, debt recovery or other related Shroff duties etc. 2. Answer patient’s queries on hospital fees and charges, perform checking on bills and statements as well as prepare regular and ad hoc financial/system reports. 3. Assist in compiling financial reports and information analysis. 4. Assist in the implementation and monitoring of internal control procedures. 5. Carry out general clerical duties includes filing, data entry and record keeping. 6. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor(s). Entry Requirements : 1. (a) Passes in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination including English Language (Syllabus B), Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent. OR (b) 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education attaining the level specified below: Level 2 in English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; and Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects/ “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects/ Grade E in Other Language subjects; or equivalent. 2. Ability to perform typing, word processing and/or Chinese word processing. Preferred Attributes : 1. Clerical experience with good knowledge of the database management and analysis. 2. K nowledge of other common office automation (e.g. E-mail, Internet/Intranet etc.) and proficiency in PC applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access and MS Power Point, etc. 3. Knowledge and experience in ERP/Hyperion /PBRC/OPAS. 4. Possession of accounting related certificate would be an advantage. 5. Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese. 6. Responsible, self-motivated and able to work independently. 7. Good interpersonal and communication skills. 8. Pleasant, mature personality and willing to work under pressure. Remarks : For Serving HA Staff 1. S erving Staff who has completed F.5/S.5 or equivalent and have 2 years’ clerical experience within HA may also be considered. 2. Selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment for up to 3 years depending on his/her existing employment terms. (a) Contract employee - will be offered contract employment with an up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as contract-end gratuity upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance. (b) Permanent employee - will be offered a fixed term appointment after which the employee may be reverted back to his/her former substantive rank. 3. The offer of salary and allowance (Cash allowance, Fixed-flexi allowance or Monthly allowance) for serving employees upon changes in appointment will be determined based on the remuneration package / employment terms of the staff concerned and prevailing policies. For External Applicants 4. Selected candidate will be offered contract term appointment for up to 3 years. Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as contract-end gratuity may be offered upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance. 5. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply. If selected, the terms and conditions of employment will be offered in accordance with prevailing policies of the Retired and Rehire Mechanism of HA. For All Applicants 6.
