Description: Office: Cluster Facility Management Pay : HK$ 68,053 to HK$ 131,423 (HMPS Point 4 - 19) per month including Monthly Allowance (See Remarks 2) Key Responsibilities: The appointee will be responsible for the following main duties: 1. Plan, control and execute building services engineering projects of minor works from inception to completion. 2. Manage engineering project alteration, improvement, maintenance works and exercise close control on quality of works, cash flow planning, budget and expenditure. 3. Provide professional engineering advice to hospitals on the feasibility of proposed projects and support in the preparation of engineering proposals, programmes, fund bidding and selection of works agents. 4. Oversee and manage compliance of statutory requirements/ordinances with respect to building and engineering facilities, operation and maintenance services in hospitals and clinics. 5. Manage, monitor and report the performance of consultants, contractors and works agents. 6. Manage and monitor medical engineering and equipment maintenance performance for hospital facilities and equipment. 7. Perform any other duties as required and may need to work outside office hours. Requirements: 1 Member / Corporate Member of a professional institution, i.e. the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Building Services Engineering disciplines or equivalent. Preferably Attributes/ Exposure: 1. Considerable experience in handling both major and minor capital works engineering projects. 2. Possess sound knowledge on term maintenance contracts or term contracts for minor works. 3. Conversant with Hong Kong construction and building related legislations and government procedures and policies on delivering public projects. 4. Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Chinese, with good presentation skills. 5. A high degree of self-motivation and organizational ability. 6. Knowledge of MS Office, project management and database software. Remarks: For Serving HA Staff 1. Selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment for up to 3 years depending on his/her existing employment terms. Serving contract employee will be offered contract employment with an up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance. Serving permanent employee will be offered a fixed term appointment after which the employee may be reverted back to his/her former substantive rank. 2. The offer of salary and allowance (Cash Allowance, Fixed-flexi Allowance or Monthly Allowance) for serving employees upon changes in appointment will be made in accordance with prevailing policies. For External Applicants 3. Appointment will be on contract terms for up to 3 years . Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance. 4 . Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply. If selected, the terms and conditions of employment will be offered in accordance with prevailing policies of the Retired and Rehire Mechanism of HA. For All Applicants 5 .
