Description: Office : Combined Endoscopy Unit (CEU), Department of Electro-medical Diagnostic Unit (EDU), New Territories West Cluster (NTWC) Pay : HK$17,888 – HK$22,357 per month (see Remarks 3 & 6) Job : 1. Direct contact with patients and provide various supporting services in Electro-medical Diagnostic and endoscopy Unit. 2. Assist in all care related services and procedures e.g. preparing and handling of equipment for clinical procedures. 3. Clean and disinfect equipment and endoscopic accessories. 4. Assess patient condition on admission: take blood pressure, body weight and body height. 5. Perform non-invasive procedures e.g. ECG. 6. Provide clerical support e.g. Book appointment, enquiry, retrieve and trace report. 7. Regular check stock of equipment, consumables and responsible for ordering. 8. Assist in management of medical equipment maintenance and repair. 9. Maintain working area clean and tidy. 10. Perform any other related duties as assigned. Requirements : 1. Completed F.5/ S.5 or equivalent, (see Remarks 1); and 2. Completed relevant technical skill training conducted by qualified personnel (see Remarks 6). Preferred Attributes : 1. Passed in Mathematics in HKCEE/ HKDSE and good general education up to tertiary level or higher. 2. Fluent in spoken Cantonese, ability to speak English and Putonghua. 3. Good PC skills & knowledge in common softwares such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other Ms Office applications. 4. Self-motivated and able to work independently under pressure. 5. Applicants with relevant training / working experience in sciences or healthcare field desirable. 6. Interest to serve and communicate with patients. 7. Knowledge on statistics and research work. Remarks : For Serving HA Staff 1. Serving staff who have completed F.3/ S.3 or equivalent and have care related experience within HA may also be considered. 2. The selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment for 1-3 year(s) depending on his/her existing employment terms. 3. The offer of salary to serving employees upon changes in appointment will be determined based on the remuneration package/employment terms of the staff concerned and prevailing policies. For External Applicants 4. 5. Selected candidate will be offered contract terms for 1-3 years. 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered upon satisfactory completion of contract. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply. If selected, the terms and conditions of employment will be offered in accordance with prevailing policies of the Retired and Rehire Mechanism of HA. For All Applicants 6. Applicants who do not meet entry requirement 2, if find suitable, will be employed to undergo at least 6 months’ on the job training. During the training period, they will be appointed as Patient Care Assistant IIIA at a monthly salary of $14,958. After the training period of at least 6 months and passing the end of training assessment on skills and with satisfactory performance, they will be appointed as Patient Care Assistant II with monthly salary of $17,888. Employment may be terminated if the selected applicant cannot pass the assessment after training. 7. May be required to perform 24-hour shift duty and to perform duties during typhoons, rainstorms and other emergencies. 8. Required to wear uniform whilst on duties. 9. Job rotation would be arranged for the selected candidate if required. 10. Selected candidate will be posted in Pok Oi Hospital and may be required to work in another work location to meet service needs of the HA. 11.
