Description: Office : Infectious Disease Control Training Centre, Quality & Safety Division, HA Head Office Pay HK$71,219 to HK$144,604 per month (including Monthly Allowance) [HGPS P oint 30 to 44B] (See Remarks 4 ) Job The post holder will be deployed to work in Infection Control Branch, Centre for Health Protection (CHP) with main duties as follows: Assist in developing clinical protocols and guidelines in disease management for hospitals. Promote the practice of evidence-based medicine in clinical practice and healthcare management. Conduct health promotion activities and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases. Implement research projects of public health significance. Develop evidence medicine and practice in healthcare management. Participate in health care management and policy development. Requirements A qualification registrable in Hong Kong under the Medical Registration Ordinance. Preferred Attributes/Exposure At least 2 years of post-qualification clinical experience. Training and/or experience in health care services administration or related areas. Leadership qualities with good interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrate enthusiasm in developing a career in health care services management. Remarks May be required to work in another work location to meet service needs of the HA. May be required to work shifts and irregular hours as well as to perform on-call duties. For Serving HA Staff Selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment for 3 years depending on his/her existing employment terms. Serving contract employee will be offered contract employment with an up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance. Serving permanent employee will be offered a fixed term appointment with a reversion clause according to the prevailing policies . The offer of salary and allowance (Cash Allowance, Fixed-flexi Allowance or Monthly Allowance) for serving employees upon changes in appointment will be made in accordance with prevailing policies. For External Applicants Appointment will be on contract terms for a period of 3 years. Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply.
