Entry Requirements:

(a) A Hong Kong bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, preferably with a major in the social sciences discipline;

(b) Met the language proficiency requirements of Level 3 [Note] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
© A minimum of 5 years’ post-degree full-time working experience at management level;
(d) Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese;
(e) Solid knowledge of local education system;
(f) Good leadership and organisational ability, as well as analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills;
(g) Proficiency in common computer applications (including word-processing, Chinese input, Excel and PowerPoint, database management and webpage design); and
(h) Preference will be given to those with experience in project management, especially in e-learning, artificial intelligence applications in education or research studies, as well as working experience in public sector organisations.

Duties:

(a) To assist in the matters in relation to the development of the new framework of essential skills on Information Technology in Education (ITE) for teachers, e.g. formulating and ongoing review of the framework, liaising with Hong Kong Education City on developing and maintaining the relevant new online platform, maintaining teachers relevant professional training records and issuing certificates to teachers in respect to the requirements of the framework, etc.;

(b) To assist in coordinating the ITE surveys for all public sector schools from launch to answering school telephone and written enquiries, chasing the outstanding returns, verifying the school data, consolidating and summarising the raw data, data analysis, producing graphical charts and presentations, preparing summaries and reports;
© To assist in the secretarial matters related to the Steering Committee on Strategic Development of ITE;
(d) To conduct information search / literature review and comparative analysis on the latest development of ITE in different countries; and
(e) To perform any other related duties as assigned.

Terms of Appointment:

Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for 2 years.
