Description: Rank : Patient Care Assistant I Work Location : New Territories East Cluster Pay : HK$22,514 - HK$26,524 per month (see Remarks 2, 5) Key Responsibilities 1. Assist in operating procedures. 2. Assist in patient care in operating theatre and recovery room. 3. Prepare, issue and handle surgical instruments, equipment, furniture and related items for operating procedures. 4. Prepare surgical consumables for operating procedures and restock after use. 5. Assist in patient positioning. 6. Transfer and transport of patients as well as instruments, equipment and consumables. 7. Reprocess (Cleansing, Disinfection and Sterilization) surgical instruments and equipment after use. 8. Control inventory of surgical instruments, consumables and equipment. 9. Assist to train and coach less experienced/ junior staff. 10. Perform clerical tasks if required. 11. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors. Entry Requirements 1. Completed F.5/ S.5 with: i. passes in HKCEE including English Language(SyllabusB) and Chinese Language; OR ii. attaining Level 2 in English Language and Chinese Language in HKDSE, or equivalent (see Remark 1) ; 2. Completed Corporate Patient Care Assistant (Theatre Assistant) Training Program organized by HAHO (see Remark 5) ; 3. Possess at least 3 years’ relevant work experience (see Remark 5) ; 4. Able to speak fluent Cantonese, write and read Chinese and English, and speak English. Preferred Attributes 1. Experience in related healthcare setting; or 2. Holder of Associate Degree / Higher Diploma in Health Care; or 3. Basic IT (Word / Excel / PowerPoint etc) knowledge and skills; or 4. Interest in working in operating theatre.
