Description: Executive Assistant I (Research Assistant) (HIV Clinical Service) Rank : Executive Assistant I Office : Department of Medicine, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Pay : HK$21,895 - HK$25,906 per month Key Responsibilities : 1. Provide administrative and statistical support for the daily operation under HIV team: - Support project management including planning, implementation and monitoring arrangement of research meetings, preparation of presentation and records. - Provide logistic support in preparation of minutes and records; - To liaise, coordinate and organize for meetings, programmes and activities, training courses and educational programs. 2. Management of HIV/AIDS Registry, medical record and HIV database. 3. Support Centre for Health Protection in collection of epidemiological information. 4. Compile reports on HIV activities and statistics. Prepare statistical tables, graphs, charts and reports. 5. Liaise with both internal and external parties regarding the data definition, dissemination and data quality issues. 6. Assist conduction of clinical trials and research including patient recruitment, completion of case report form, collection of questionnaires and preparation of documents and reports for Research Ethics Committee submission. 7. Handle ad hoc requests for statistical information and perform any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor. Entry Requirements : 1. University Graduates with experience; OR 2. F.5 / S.5 with (a) HKCEE 5 passes including English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language; OR (b) 5 subjects in HKDSE attaining the level specified below: (i) Level 2 in English Language & Chinese Language; AND (ii) Level 2 in New Senior Secondary Subjects / “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects under this category) / Grade E in other Language subjects. AND diploma in a specialized function AND relevant experience. Preferred Attributes / Exposure : 1. Degree in Statistics; or a degree in Social Science, Medical Sciences, Public Health and Health Sciences with Statistics as one of the subjects taken. 2. High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and Chinese word processing. 3. Knowledge of and experience in application of statistical software such as SPSS is required. 4. Knowledge and experience of clinical research and healthcare statistics will be an advantage. 5. Good command of oral and written English, Chinese and Mandarin. Remarks: For Serving HA Staff 1. The selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment for 1 to 3 years depending on his/her existing employment terms. The offer of salary for serving employees upon changes in appointment will be determined based on the remuneration package/employment terms of the staff concerned and prevailing policies. For External Applicants 2. Appointment will be on contract terms for 1 to 3 years. 5% of total basic salary may be offered as end-of-contract gratuity upon completion of the contract with satisfactory performance. 3. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply. If selected, the terms and conditions of employment will be offered in accordance with prevailing policies of the Retired and Rejoin Mechanism of HA. For All Applicants 4.
