Description: Rank: Executive Officer II Office: Department of Quality and Safety, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Pay: HK$34,260 to HK$60,421 (HGPS point 15 to 27) per month including Monthly Allowance (See remarks 2) Key Responsibilities 1. Provide administrative support to functions and operations of the department. 2. Coordinate and organize meetings, programmes and activities related to quality and safety. 3. Provide support to incident management, root cause analysis and implementation of risk reduction measures. 4. Collect and analyze data to prepare audit and management reports in relation to safety and quality. 5. Supervise and coach clerical and supporting staff of the department. 6. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors. Entry Requirements 1. A degree from a Hong Kong University or equivalent. 2. Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese. Preferred Attributes 1. Excellent inter-personal and communication skills. 2. Competent in coordination, analytic and problem solving skills. 3. Self-motivated, able to work independently even in stressful situations. 4. Proficiency in computer application software and data management. 5. 1 - 2 years post-qualification in administration and management. 6. Working experience in health-care setting is preferable. Remarks For Serving HA Staff 1. The selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment for 1 – 3 years depending on his/her existing employment terms. Serving contract employee will be offered contract employment with up to 15% total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity upon completion of the contract with satisfactory performance. Serving permanent employee will be offered fixed term appointment after which the employee may be reverted back to his/her former substantive rank. 2. The offer of salary and allowance (Cash Allowance, Fixed-flexi Allowance or Monthly Allowance) for serving employees will be made in accordance with prevailing policies. For External Applicants 3. Appointment will be on contract term for 1 – 3 years. Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance. 4. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply. If selected, the terms and conditions of employment will be offered in accordance with prevailing policies of the Retired and Rehire Mechanism of HA. For All Applicants 5. The renewal / extension of appointment will be subject to service needs, availability of funding and job performance. 6. May be required to perform on-call duties or work outside normal office hours. 7. The selected candidate may be required to work in both Q&S office and Patient Services Office to meet service needs of the department. 8.
