Description: Office: Procurement and Materials Management Department, Kowloon East Cluster Pay: HK$15,751 to HK$24,518 per month (including Monthly Allowance) [HGPS Pt 2 – 9] (Please see Remarks 3) Key Responsibilities: Perform clerical and purchasing duties following general instructions or prescribed procedures with minimal supervision. The typical duties include: 1. Carry out procurement and materials management activities in accordance with the established guidelines and plans 2. Work independently as a buyer of the team and perform routine duties including but not limited to product sourcing, conducting market and price research, purchase requisition, tender administration, etc. 3. Compile tender summary, statistics and conduct simple analysis. 4. Assist in preparing summary of various purchase requests for analysis/ formulation of procurement plan 5. Monitor the progress of projects under various funding. 6. Liaise with relevant stakeholders in the supply chain to ensure the right goods and services are delivered efficiently 7. Draft correspondence and handle enquiries. 8. Process, verify and compile forms and data. 9. Assist in co-ordination of meetings/programmes. 10. Provide clerical support to supervisors to meet day-to-day operational needs 11. Perform any other duties as required by supervisors. Entry Requirements: 1. (a) Passes in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination including English Language (Syllabus B), Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent. OR (b) 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education attaining the level specified below: i. Level 2 in English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; and ii. Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects/ “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects/ Grade E in Other Language subjects; or equivalent. 2. Ability to perform typing, word processing and/or Chinese word processing. Preferable Attributes/Exposure: 1. Knowledge of HA’s corporate systems and processes related to procurement and materials management, including but not limited to ERP and EAM. 2. Knowledge and hands-on experience in ERP operation and tendering procedures. 3. Knowledge and hands-on experience in handling Furniture and Equipment (F&E) under Capital Works Reserve Fund (CWRF) 4. Familiar with the use of MS Word, Chinese word processing, MS Excel and database manipulation. 5. Qualification and/or working experience in relation to tendering of equipment 6. Good communication and interpersonal skills 7. Good verbal and communication skills in English and Chinese 8. Responsible, self-motivated and able to work independently
