Description: Office: Cluster Facility Management Unit, Administrative Services Division, New Territories West Cluster Pay: HK$24,518 – HK$29,290 (HGPS Point 9 to 12) per month (including Monthly Allowance) (See Remark 2) Job : 1. Assist supervisors to prepare documents and reports relating to planned / corrective maintenance and services provided by external contractors. 2. Monitor the maintenance, repair, alteration, addition and improvement works carried out by external contractors to the Hospital against contract requirements and recognised standard. 3. Supervise supporting staff of Day-to-Day team to conduct planned and corrective maintenance to the Hospital. 4. Monitor works safety and OSH related issues. 5. Liaise/coordinate with parties concerned (including end users and external contractors) for timely and smooth execution of the above works. 6. Assist in the procurement of spare parts for repairs and facilities maintenance and the control of repair stores. 7. Attend emergency calls and conduct urgent repairs outside normal working hours when required. 8. Perform shift duty and be on duty during typhoon and other emergencies. 9. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisors. Requirements : 1. a) A Certificate in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from Hong Kong Polytechnic / Hong Kong Polytechnic University / Hong Kong Technical College / Hong Kong Technical Institute / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, or equivalent; OR b) 5 years of relevant working experience as skilled worker in the field of Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering; OR c) Completed a recognized Technician Apprenticeship in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. 2. A knowledge of English and Chinese equivalent to Form 3 (before 2012) / Secondary 3 standard. 3. Obtained valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card). Preferred Attributes: 1. Possess a Higher Diploma in Building Studies or equivalent. 2. Has experience in using Computer-based Maintenance Management System (CMMS). 3. Is proficient in common computer software, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. 4. Knowledge of AutoCAD Remarks : For Serving HA Staff 1. The selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment for 1-3 year(s) depending on his/her existing employment terms. Serving contract employee will be offered contract employment with up to 15% total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity, subject to satisfactory completion of contract. Serving permanent employee will be offered a fixed term appointment after which the employee may be reverted back to his/her former substantive rank. 2. The offer of salary and allowance (Cash Allowance, Fixed-flexi Allowance or Monthly Allowance) upon transfer will be made in accordance with prevailing policies. For External Applicants 3. Selected candidate will be offered contract term appointment for 1-3 year(s). Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance. 4. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply.
