Description: Rank : Dietitian Office : Department of Dietetics Queen Mary Hospital Hong Kong West Cluster Pay HK$ 33,350 per month (H GPS Point 16) Key Responsibilities 1. Assess and counsel patients with dietary or nutritional problems. 2. Plan, implement and follow-up dietetic therapies as well as evaluate outcome. 3. Monitor standards for quality, sanitation, safety and security in food services for inpatients. 4. Provide consultative dietetic services to the health care team. 5. Participate in nutrition or dietetic-related projects and research. 6. Give lectures on nutrition or dietetic-related topics to other health care professionals, patient groups and the community. 7. Provide training to students from academic institutions. Requirements A Master’s degree or a post-graduate diploma in a recognized dietetic programme conducted in a local university or equivalent. Preferred Attributes / Exposure 1. Fluency in written English and Chinese as well as spoken English and Cantonese. 2. Working experience in the local community or hospital . 3. Good communication skill. 4. Empathy. 5. Commitment to patient care. 6. Leadership. 7. Good interpersonal skills. Able to work well in teams. Remarks 1. Suitable candidate will be appointed on temporary terms for 12 months. 2. The renewal / extension of appointment will be subject to service needs, availability of funding and job performance. 3. May be required to work in another work location to meet service needs of the Hospital Authority. 4. May be required to work irregular hours. 5.
