Entry Requirements:

(a) A Diploma or Higher Certificate in Design from a Hong Kong higher education institution, Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, Technical College or Technical Institute, or equivalent, for which specialised in at least one of the following subjects: Visual Communication Design, Advertising Design, Environmental Design, Multimedia Design or Product Design;

(b) Met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in both Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) [See Note (i)], or equivalent;
© At least 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in designing and producing digital drawings and computer graphic designs for educational purposes [See Note (ii)]; and
(d) Preference will be given to candidates with (i) good communication and interpersonal skills; (ii) good computer skills; and (iii) knowledge and experience in development of resource materials for learning and assessment at primary level with the use of multimedia.

Duties:

(a) To design and produce tailor-made and authentic digital drawings for the assessment tasks and questions for the Chinese Language, English Language and Mathematics subjects;

(b) To design and produce tailor-made and authentic computer graphic designs for the learning resources for the Chinese Language, English Language and Mathematics subjects;
© To design and produce general digital drawings and computer graphic designs on common topics (e.g. animals, plants, children, facial expressions, food, drinks, activities, hobbies, clothes, transportation, family members, school life, multiracial students, Chinese culture and traditional festivals), 2-D and 3-D geometric shapes and Mathematical measuring tools with a view to creating an in-house bank of digital drawings and computer graphic designs;
(d) To provide technical support in uploading digital drawings and computer graphic designs to the Student Adaptive Learning system;
(e) To support the three subject teams on the production of digital drawings and computer graphic designs as required; and
(f) To create ad-hoc digital drawings and computer graphic designs as instructed.

Terms of Appointment:

Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract period for 1.5 years.
