Description: Hospital : Princess Margaret Hospital Pay : HK$27,564 - HK$50,343 (HGPS Point 11 - 23) per month including Monthly Allowance (See Remarks item 2) Key Responsibilities: 1. Provide preventive and emergency maintenance services for radiodiagnostic, radiotherapy, nuclear medicine and electronic equipment. 2. Assist the Physicists to calibrate and perform dosimetric measurements and quality assurance checks on radiotherapy equipment. 3. Assist the Physicists to perform computer applications in radiological and related fields. 4. Perform on-call duties when required. 5. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Chief Electrical Technician. Entry Requirements: 1. A Higher Certificate or a Higher Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent from a polytechnic or technical institute in Hong Kong or equivalent. 2. 3 years’ relevant post-qualification experience in equipment maintenance. 3. Knowledge of English at a standard equivalent to Grade E or above in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (Syllabus B) or Level 2 or above in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education. Remarks: For Serving HA Staff 1. The selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment up to 3 years depending on his/her existing employment terms. Serving contract employee will be offered contract employment with an up to 15% total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity, subject to satisfactory completion of the contract. Serving permanent employee will be offered a fixed term appointment after which the employee may be reverted back to his/her former substantive rank. 2. The offer of salary and allowance (Cash Allowance, Fixed-flexi Allowance or Monthly Allowance) for serving employees upon changes in appointment will be made in accordance with prevailing policies. For External Applicants 3. Selected candidate will be offered contract term up to 3 years . Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance. 4. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply. If selected, the terms and conditions of employment will be offered in accordance with prevailing policies of the Retired and Rehire Mechanism of HA. For All Applicants 5.
