Description: Office: Department of Medicine and Geriatrics, New Territories West Cluster (NTWC) Pay: HK$17,888 – HK$21,743 per month Job : 1. To provide administrative and clerical support to the ward/department. 2. To carry out general clerical duties that includes filing, data entry and simple statistics, record keeping and store administration. 3. To perform reception services, help in counter and registration work, and provide information and assistance to patients and public. 4. To handle public and patient enquires. 5. To follow up minor feedback and complaints with relevant departments. 6. To liaise and communicate with staff and clients. 7. To assist in the supervision of supporting staff of the ward/department if necessary. 8. To perform other duties as assigned by supervisors. Requirements : 1. Completed F.5/ S.5 AND diploma in a specialized function with (a) or (b) below: (a) Passes in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination including English Language (Syl B) and Chinese Language, or equivalent; (b) 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education attaining the level specified below: Level 2 in English Language and Chinese Language; and Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects / “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects under this category) / Grade E in Other Language subjects; or equivalent. OR 2. Completed F.5/ S.5 AND relevant diploma in a specialized function with working experience Preferable Attributes/ Exposure: 1. Willing to work in a ward. 2. Proficiency in common computer software (e.g. MS office, including Chinese Word processing). 3. Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. 4. Responsible, self-motivated, outgoing and able to work independently with good communication and interpersonal skills. Remarks : For Serving HA Staff 1. Serving staff who have completed F.5/ S.5 or equivalent and have 2 years’ clerical experience within HA may also be considered. 2. The selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment for 1-3 year(s) depending on his/her existing employment terms. 3. The offer of salary to serving employees upon changes in appointment will be determined based on the remuneration package/employment terms of the staff concerned and prevailing policies. For External Applicants 4. Selected candidate will be offered contract terms for 1-3 year(s). 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered upon satisfactory completion of contract. 5. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply. If selected, the terms and conditions of employment will be offered in accordance with prevailing policies of the Retired and Rehire Mechanism of HA. For All Applicants 6. May be required to perform 24-hour shift duty and to perform duties during typhoons, rainstorms and other emergencies. 7. Selected candidate may be required to wear uniform whilst on duties. 8. Job rotation would be arranged for the selected candidate if required. 9.
