Description: Extended on 11 February 2021 No. of Vacancy: 1 Office Nursing Services Division, New Territories West Cluster Pay HK$57,728 to HK$80,518 per month (including Monthly allowance) (see Remark 3) [HGPS Point 26 to 33A] Key Responsibilities 1. Participate in planning on service rationalization and development within the cluster in accordance with the directions and annual plan of HA. 2. Assist in the development and implementation of organization policies and plans, provide input in the development of nursing and nursing education. 3. Facilitate and participate in modernizing nursing practice. 4. Develop professional nursing standard, care protocol and clinical pathway. 5. Participate in the coordination of corporate and cluster nursing projects. 6. Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the service. 7. Assist and facilitate the relocation of Delivery Suite to the new Tuen Mun Hospital Operating Theatre Extension Block. Entry Requirements 1. Holder of a valid Registered Nurse (General) practicing certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong. 2. Qualification in advanced nursing specialty*. 3. A degree in Nursing or equivalent. 4. 5 years or more post-registration experience in healthcare, of which at least 3 years is in the related specialty. * Qualification in advanced nursing specialty refers to recognized post-registration certificate, or post-graduate certificate/diploma course in nursing specialty, or Master in nursing or related discipline with considerable coverage on a relevant nursing specialty. Preferred Attributes / Exposure 1. Demonstrate the competencies requirements and leadership ability of an Advanced Practice Nurse. 2. Master degree in nursing or related discipline. 3. Working experience in Project Management. 4. Knowledge of professional nursing practice & development in a specialty. 5. Planning, organizing & evaluation skills. 6. Analytical thinking & problem-solving ability. 7. People skills to network & work with multi-disciplinary healthcare professionals, community organizations and general public. 8. Teaching, coaching & counseling skills. 9. Ability to develop evidence-based practice and to conduct research. 10. Participation in professional development activities in Hong Kong. 11. Experience in quality improvement. Remarks For Serving HA Staff 1. Serving Nursing Officer may apply for transfer to this position subject to his/her meeting the entry requirements stipulated. If selected for appointment he/she will remain in his/her existing employment terms. 2. The selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment for 6 months depending on his/her existing employment terms. Serving permanent employee will be offered fixed term appointment after which the employee may be reverted back to his/her former substantive rank. 3. The offer of salary and allowance (Cash Allowance, Fixed-flexi Allowance, or Monthly Allowance) for serving employees upon changes in appointment will be made in accordance with prevailing policies. 4. Staff in Nursing grade who are on civil service terms, if selected for appointment, will be appointed under the shadow promotion Scheme. For External Applicants 5. Appointment will be on contract terms for 6 months . 6. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply. If selected, the terms and conditions of employment will be offered in accordance with prevailing policies of the Retired and Rejoin Mechanism of HA. For All Applicants 7. Required to work shifts or perform on-call duties. 8. Required to wear uniform. 9. Free overnight accommodation provided for shift duties. 10. Selected candidate will be posted in Tuen Mun Hospital and may be required to work in another work location to meet service needs of the HA. 11.
