Description: Rank: Programmer Office: Information Technology Department, Kowloon Central Cluster Pay: HK$25,972 to HK$39,671 (HGPS Point 10 to 18) per month including Monthly Allowance (See Remarks 2) Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Analyst Programmer, the incumbent will be required to: 1.Provide help for implementation, maintenance, testing and modification of IT solutions in areas of responsibility. 2.Provide user support on IT solutions in areas of responsibility. 3.Install, configure and maintain system hardware, software or services. 4.Assist in documentation of user specification, system changes and enhancement. 5.Assist to liaise with users, contractors and other IT teams for program development and system maintenance. 6.Assist to maintain system documentations and reports. 7.Provide after-office-hours system support. 8.Conduct various stages of testing including unit test, integration test, system test, load test etc. 9.Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors. Entry Requirements: 1. Degree in computer science or relevant disciplines; or equivalent. Preferred Attributes: 1.2 years’ post qualification working experience in IT or related fields. 2.Experience in hospital IT operations and project implementation. 3.Experience in supporting mobile device, MS Windows and Mac OS platforms. 4.Experience in Microsoft Server and SQL database management 5.Self-initiated, self-motivated and able to work independently. 6.Strong analytical skills with strong technical proficiency. 7.Good communication and interpersonal skills. Remarks: For Serving HA Staff 1. The selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment for up to 3 years depending on his/her existing employment terms. Serving contract employee will be offered contract employment with an up to 15% total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity upon completion of the contract with satisfactory performance. Serving permanent employee will be offered a fixed term appointment with a reversion clause according to the prevailing policies. 2. The offer of salary and allowance (Cash Allowance, Fixed-flexi Allowance or Monthly Allowance) for serving employees will be made in accordance with prevailing policies. For External Applicants 3. Appointment will be on contract terms for up to 3 years. Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance. 4. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply. If selected, the terms and conditions of employment will be offered in accordance with prevailing policies of the Retired and Rehire Mechanism of HA. For All Applicants 5.
