Description: Hospital : Caritas Medical Centre Pay : HK$35,985 to HK$79,606 (HGPS Point 16 to 33) per month including Monthly Allowance [See Remarks item 2] Key Responsibilities: Provide psychosocial assessment and casework intervention to patients. Plan and provide practice based group work and patient empowerment activities . Develop, coordinate and support hospital / cluster volunteer service. Facilitate the development of community engagement and partnership projects. Prepare service plan, evaluation & statistics and supervise the daily operation of Health Resource Centre. Support cluster based service under MSW. Conduct empirical research and participate in service related activities . Any job-related duties assigned by senior. Entry Requirements: (a) A degree in Social Work from a local university, or equivalent. OR ( b) A degree from a local university, or equivalent and have successfully completed a one-year post-graduate course in Social Work at a local university, or equivalent. OR © A degree from a local university, or equivalent and have successfully completed a two-year post-graduate course in Social Work or possess a Master’s degree in Social Work from a local university, or equivalent. Registration with and a valid registration certificate issued by the Hong Kong Social Workers Registration Board. (a) Grade E in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent. OR (b) Level 2 in English Language and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education, or equivalent. Fluency in written English and Chinese as well as spoken English and Cantonese. Preferred Attributes / Exposure: Proficient in interpersonal and presentation skills both verbal and written. Strong commitment and empathetic communication skills in patient care. Competence in different mode of interventions including case work, group work, and community collaboration. Competence in time management. Remark: For HA Serving Staff The selected candidate(s) will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment up to 3 years depending on his/ her existing employment terms. Serving contract employee will be offered contract employment with up to 15% total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity, subject to satisfactory completion of the contract. Serving permanent employee will be offered a fixed term appointment after which the employee may be reverted back to his/ her former substantive rank. The offer of salary and allowance (Cash Allowance, Fixed-flexi Allowance or Monthly Allowance) for serving employees upon changes in appointment will be determined based on the remuneration package/ employment terms of the staff concerned and prevailing policies. For External Applicants Appointment will be on contract terms for a period of up to 3 years . Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply. If selected, the terms and conditions of employment will be offered in accordance with prevailing policies of the Retired and Rehire Mechanism of HA.
