Description: Office Central Nursing Department, Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong West Cluster Pay HK$57,728 to HK$80,518 (HGPS Point 26 – 33A) per month (including Monthly Allowance) [To be pro-rated based on the total package and work pattern for a full-time Preceptor depending on the work hours.] (see Remarks 2, 3) Key Responsibilities 1. Conduct clinical coaching, teaching and assessment to nurses on delivery of patient care. 2. Provide feedback to nurses on their clinical competency to ensure safe patient care. 3. Monitor and record nurses’ performance and competencies. 4. Conduct sharing sessions on learning points from incidents. 5. Provide progress reports of nurses concerned to their supervisors. 6. Communicate with concerned staff on the progress and learning outcomes of the nurses. Entry Requirements 1. Holder of a valid Registered Nurse practicing certificate (General / Psychaitric) issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong. 2. Acquired specialty training qualification; and 3. Seven years or more post-registration experience in public healthcare sector. Preferred Attributes / Exposure 1. Had experience in provision of clinical mentorship of junior nurses in HA hospital. 2. A degree in nursing or equivalent. 3. Demonstrated competency requirements and leadership ability of an APN. Remarks: 1. This recruitment is for external applicants outside HA. Serving contract part-time / temporary part-time staff may also be considered. 2. The offer of salary and allowance (Cash allowance, Fixed-flexi allowance or Monthly allowance) for serving part-time employees upon changes in appointment will be determined based on the remuneration package / employment terms of the staff concerned and prevailing policies. 3. Required to work at least 18 hours per week. 4. Appointment will be on contract part-time terms till 31 March 2022 , renewal of appointment will be subject to service needs, availability of funding and job performance. Up to 15% if total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance. 5. Required to work shift duties subject to operational needs. 6. Required to wear uniform. 7. Free overnight accommodation provided for shift duties. 8.
