Description: Office: Pathology Department, United Christian Hospital Pay: HK$17,888 to HK$22,357 per month (See Remarks 4) Key Responsibilities: 1. Perform specimen sorting, labeling and handling at the pre-analytical stage. 2. Perform specimen sterilization and disposal at the post-analytical stage 3. Operate and handle general support service machinery or medical equipment and related laboratory work. 4. Assist in preparation of cultures, solvents, reagents, culture media and dyestuff, containers or glasses in laboratory which need special treatment. 5. Perform general clerical job such as typing, filing, data analysis, statistical reporting and reception service. 6. Assist in handling supplies and stores including dangerous goods. 7. Perform all kinds of cleansing and disinfecting jobs when required. Entry Requirements: 1. Completed F.5/S.5 or equivalent; 2. Completed at least 6 months in-service/ departmental training (See Remarks 4). Preferred Attributes / Exposure: 1. Able to read and write Chinese and English and speak fluent Cantonese 2. Passed in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in HKCEE or Obtained Level 2 in English Language and Chinese Language in HKDSE, or equivalent 3. Possess certified technical skill training in Pathology by qualified personnel 4. Be mature and possess good communication skills and interpersonal skills. 5. Self-motivated and able to work independently under pressure. 6. Interested to work in hospital with patients. 7. Knowledge in computer operation and PC applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications. 8. Possession of certificate on operating autoclave / boiler.
