Description: Office: School of General Nursing, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Pay : HK$34,260 - HK$55,133 (HGPS Point 15 – 25) per month (including Monthly Allowance). (see Remarks 1) Job: 1. R esponsible for coaching and monitoring nurse learners’ clinical performance, as well as their professional conduct. 2. Negotiate and coordinate nurse learners’ participation in ward activities with clinical staff. 3. Facilitate active learning in clinical setting, such as integration of theoretical learning to clinical practice. 4. Take part in assessing and evaluating the clinical performance of nurse learners. 5. Provide counseling, guidance, supervision and assistance to nurse learners during clinical practicum. 6. Participate in educational, clinical and management activities of the School in the promotion of nursing and nursing education. Entry Requirements : 1. A Certificate of Registration (Part I) and a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong. 2. Fluent Cantonese. Preferred Attributes / Exposure : 1 . Recent Experience in the clinical services and relevant specialty / services. 2 . Mentoring / Teaching experience in clinical areas. 3 . Higher academic qualifications. 4 . Able to communicate in English. 5 . A Master Degree Holder in Nursing or equivalent. 6 . Demonstrated competency requirements and role model of a mentor. 7 . Committed in vision and mission of Kowloon Central Cluster. 8 . Willing to accept delegation and establish team spirit in Kowloon Central Cluster. Remarks : For Serving HA staff : 1. The offer of salary and allowance (Cash Allowance, Fixed-flexi Allowance or Monthly Allowance) for serving employees upon changes in appointment will be made in accordance with prevailing policies. For External Applicants : 2. Appointment on contract full-time terms will be for an initial period of 6 years. Up to 15% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) may be offered at the end of each 3 year subject to satisfactory performance. 3. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply. If selected, the terms and conditions of employment will be offered in accordance with prevailing policies of the Retired and Rehire Mechanism of HA. For All Applicants : 4.
