Description: Rank: Works\nSupervisor I Office: Capital Planning Department, Strategy &\nPlanning Division, H A Head Office Pay HK$ 31,055 to\nHK$ 35,985 per\nmonth ( including Monthly Allowance) [ H G PS\npoint 13 – 16 ] (see remarks 4 ) Job The\n appointee will assist Senior Managers, Managers, Employer’s Representatives\n and the Consultant Team in the project management of major capital works\n projects with technical advisory support. Major duties are: 1. Assist the\n Building Services Inspector on all aspects of supervision of building\n services work on site within the contracts and the maintenance of site\n records. 2. Assist in\n the monitoring of labour resources, progress, materials and equipment used on\n site. 3. Assist in\n the checking of site measurements of building services works and payments\n claimed by contractors. 4. Assist in\n the site survey of existing building services installations during the\n construction stage, including submission of proposals for additional,\n alteration or repair works. 5. Assist in\n the inspection of testing and commissioning of building services installations. 6. Assist in\n the checking of building services operation and maintenance manuals and\n as-fitted drawings submitted by various contractors. 7. Work\n according to duty roster, attend emergency call and perform typhoon duty. 8. Perform\n any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor. Requirements 1. (a) A Certificate in Building Services Engineering or Electrical\n Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from Hong Kong Polytechnic / Hong Kong\n Polytechnic University / Hong Kong Technical College / Hong Kong Technical\n Institute / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, or equivalent; or (b) 5 years of relevant working experience as skilled worker in the field\n of Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering;\n or © Completed a recognized Technician Apprenticeship in Building\n Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. 2. At least 3 years’ site supervisory experience subsequent to\n fulfilling (1) above. 3. A knowledge of English and Chinese equivalent to Form 3 (before 2012)\n / Secondary 3 standard. 4. Obtained valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate\n (Green Card). Preferred\nAttributes/Exposure 1. Knowledge of other common office automation\n (e.g. e-mail, Internet / Intranet, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS\n Project, AutoCAD and other MS Office applications, etc.). 2. Excellent inter-personal communication and presentation skill. 3. Responsible, self-motivated and able to\n work independently under minimum supervision. 4. Outgoing and able to work under pressure and stressful situation,\n including crises. 5. Formal training in occupational safety and\n health. Remarks 1. May be required to work in another work location to meet service needs\n of the HA. 2. Selected\n candidates may be required to work in shifts and/or irregular hours in\n different offices and/or project sites, depending on services / operational\n needs. For Serving HA Staff 3. Selected\n candidate will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment for 2 to\n 3 years depending\n on his/her existing employment terms. \n Serving contract employee will be offered contract employment with an\n up to 15% of total\n basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by\n Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity upon completion of contract with satisfactory\n performance. Serving permanent employee will be offered a\n fixed term appointment with a reversion clause according to the prevailing\n policies . 4. The offer of salary\n and allowance (Cash Allowance, Fixed-flexi Allowance or Monthly Allowance)\n for serving employees upon changes in appointment will be made in accordance\n with prevailing policies. For External Applicants 5. Appointment will be on contract terms for 2\n to 3 years.
