Job Description
FACILITIES MANAGEMENT OFFICE
Facilities Officer (Ref. 21061107-IE)
Duties
The appointee will report to the Technical Services Section and be required to:
(a) plan and co-ordinate with internal/external parties for the remedial works to underground drainage facilities and building maintenance works;
(b) liaise and co-ordinate with different parties on the implementation of planned/unplanned maintenance/ remedial works;
(c) assist in the design and preparation of specifications as well as drawings for various works;
(d) monitor the progress and quality of work performed by contractors and in-house staff;
(e) perform shift duties including working on Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays; and
(f) handle any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Office or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised diploma or higher certificate in Building Studies or a related discipline with at least three years of relevant work experience in building maintenance, OR be recognised by the Buildings Department as the Technically Competent Person T1 plus five years of relevant work experience in building maintenance;
(b) have customer-oriented mindset as well as good interpersonal and communication skills; and
(c) be familiar with the basic computer software including MS Office, Outlook and mobile communication applications.
Preference will be given to those applicants with solid experience in underground drainage clearance works or repairing underground drainage pipes.
Remuneration and Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
