Job Description
The appointee is the resident professional English writer responsible for the quality and accuracy of all written materials produced by the Communications and Public Affairs Office and shall be in charge of the production of the University annual report and the publication of “e-newsletters”.

edit all publication materials, including but not limited to brochures and pamphlets of the University and academic programmes, speeches, contents and subtitles of videos, etc.;
conduct interviews and content write-ups;
ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all information and materials released to the public, and the data integrity of the University website by proof-reading and updating the contents regularly; and
provide support and assistance to all activities initiated / organised by the Communications and Public Affairs Office.

Applicants should:
possess a recognised bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Literature, Translation, Public Relations, Communication, Marketing, Journalism or related disciplines;
have excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and be able to translate from one to the other;
be able to work independently and efficiently;
have at least 10 years of work experience in editing and copywriting (English) / publications / event management;
have strong administrative and communication skills; and
be well-organised, meticulous and a good team player.
Working outside normal office hours may be required. Applicants with work experience in the higher education sector will be an advantage.
