Job Description

The Opportunity:

Mattel APAC regional sales team is seeking a passionate Associate Manager, Sales & Planning, APAC. Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, APAC, this role will support the team in the planning and day to day management and execution of the Mattel APAC strategic regional business plan with targeted key APAC accounts by aligning with local market sales leads and marketing to achieve company sales, margin and OI targets.

What Your Impact Will Be:

Business & Sales Planning:

Develop an annual regional joint business plans with appropriate target accounts to achieve company objectives
Provide guidance and support to the local markets in the execution of the regional joint business plans
Work with local market sales teams to set annual brand revenue targets
Plan regular regional sales team meetings to track performance, drive alignment and identify additional growth opportunities
Plan and execute Toy Fair preview events and formal business reviews
Maximize Sales & Profit:

Partner with regional marketing team to develop and execute regional brand and distribution priority plans to achieve target brand exposure in store and on-line
Develop and execute meaningful tailormade regional campaigns to deliver scale, consistency and improved ROI along with regional marketing
Work with different stakeholders to develop and execute on-line growth plans; develop regional licensing opportunities, plan and conduct activities to achieve sales and profit targets
Monitor sales trends, identify and report on opportunities and risks
Work with Finance on regional account DI pricing where relevant
Customer Service:

Build and maintain positive, proactive and effective business relationships with regional account contacts and different business functions
Support and coordinate regular buyer meetings, previews in line with shared objectives
Liaise with internal operations and customer service teams to effectively manage regional Direct Import programs
Deal with daily ad hoc key account requests for business information
Work with the local market sales teams to provide accurate sales forecast
Set up and maintain up-to-date sales forecasts against internal deadlines
What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or other business-related disciplines
5+ years’ of experience in Sales and Customer Marketing, preferably in toys or associated FMCG environment, with APAC exposure a plus
With experience in business planning and delivering customer focused solutions
Results driven and team oriented
Excellent communication and influencing skill across functions and levels
Strong business acumen and commercial judgement
Strong negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills
Familiar with retailers in Asia Pacific markets
Analytical, data driven with strong command of Excel and Power-point skills
