The Assistant Communications Manager will be responsible to the Head of Communications. He/She will provide administrative support to the Communications Office in its day-to-day operation and administration. Duties include assisting the Head of Communications in devising external and internal communication strategies to strengthen the Academy’s reputation; managing the planning of Academy’s publications; planning and executing digital marketing and social media campaigns; and collaborating actively with other stakeholders to develop effective communication.
(a) A recognized university degree, preferably with major in communications, journalism, English language or translation.
(b) Must have at least 8 years of relevant working experience.
(c) Experience in digital marketing.
(d) Sound knowledge of corporate communications and public relations.
(e) Strong communication, writing and editing skills with excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
(f) Good project management skills and attentive to details.
(g) Must be a team player and possess very good interpersonal skills.
(h) Experience in PR agency and / or handling bilingual publications will be an advantage.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a 2-year contract. A gratuity payment equal up to 10% of basic salary earned during the contract period will be payable upon satisfactory completion of contract. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental benefits. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
