Job Description

Who we are looking for:
Accedo ( is looking for a highly skilled self-motivated Accountant in our Hong Kong office.

Reporting into the Regional Finance Director, you will play a key role in enforcing Finance as a business function, while help ensure the completeness and accuracy of all financial accounting in addition to ensure such are in compliance with internal policies and external statutory requirements for entities within Asia.

You shall have an entrepreneurial drive for success and be an integral member in our Asia Pacific Finance team. You have deep experience in operational control and financial accounting. You are diligent and passionate, resourceful and collaborative, enjoy finding solutions to accounting challenges. You will gain global experience and work alongside A+ players in an evolving and rapidly-growing company with tons of room for professional growth. Ideal candidate must be versatile and hands-on who is willing to roll up the sleeves to complete all the necessary accounting routines while always bearing in mind areas for improvement.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Perform month-end close including expenses accruals, journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, credit card statements and bank reconciliations. Verify, allocate and reconcile transactions across business units and business functions.
Process accounts payable: Manage AP and related correspondence including data entry and filing/archiving. Ensure all invoices correctly coded, properly approved and paid within terms. Process monthly expense reports and compile corporate/executives credit card transactions. Perform file maintenance and year-end processing.
Process accounts receivable: Handle remote deposits and post cash receipts. Assist in submitting invoices and monitor accounts on-time payments.
Identify and work individually and cross-functionally toward business process improvement, propose changes and creative solutions, research commonly implemented accounting procedures, document accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Work with various business units in multiple locations to maintain accuracy of company CAPEX register, including data entry and periodic fixed assets reporting.
Assist in coordinating statutory audits with local CPA firms.
Assist in producing error-free monthly financial reporting and management accounting analysis, participate in global finance initiative and ad-hoc projects.
Manage the administration and process monthly payroll, along with the relevant monthly reporting and analysis.
Participate in system conversion and reconciliation and ongoing ERP system maintenance.
Desired Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, with a minimum 5 years related accounting experience in operational Financial Accounting at a regional level. CPA student or CPA qualified is preferred.
Advanced Excel skills to be able to process large volume of data.
Strong communication skills. Able to present business issues both verbally and in written form in English.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to error-free accounting process.
Ability to juggle between competing priorities with sense of urgency and commitment. Eager to be successful in a fast-paced environment.
Great flexibility and can work under minimal supervision and ambiguous guidelines.
Superior organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with all levels of employees, executives and stakeholders to achieve goals within deadline.
Self-motivated and takes initiative with positive demeanor.
Strong knowledge of Finance concepts, Financial Accounting principles and standards.
Experience in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a plus.
